A Normal Day As An Arborist In Huddinge, Sweden

Something that we as arborists could all agree on, is that we probably have one of the best, most exciting and challenging professions in the world. Working at Huddinges Trädfällare, a small tree-service company located in Huddinge, Sweden, there rarely is a dull and boring day on the job.

We start most days by showing up at our client’s property to have a look at the trees that they need help with. Most people actually hire us for tree removal, but our services also include stump grinding, tree pruning and we can also provide people with firewood after cutting down their trees.

Based on how many trees the client needs help with and the specific circumstances surrounding the property, we then give him or her an offer and if they accept it, the fun part can start. Depending on our schedule for the day we might start working straight away or if we are very busy, we might schedule the job for another day.

The job itself

For all of our jobs, our goal is for the client to be totally satisfied with the results that we bring to the table. We listen to what the client wants and then we do what it takes to deliver excellent results that will make him or her very happy.

If the tree is very high and/or if it is located near a house, a power line or a road, our arborist will climb up the tree to cut it down in individual sections instead of cutting it down straight from the ground. This method can be very dangerous and risky for an inexperienced arborist, which is why experience, skill and good planning is essential for a good and safe result. Our arborists here in Huddinge have many years of experience and we use several safety measures to guarantee optimal safety for our client and our arborists.

On the other hand, if there is a lot of space around the tree that we are removing, we might choose to cut down the tree straight from the ground with an advanced chainsaw, so that the tree then can fall in a particular direction that is far away from surrounding houses and other sensitive environment.

Sometimes the client also wants to get rid of the stumps after a tree felling or a “trädfällning”, as we say here in Sweden. For this we use our effective machines to perform stump grinding, which will then make mulch out of the stump. We also offer our clients in and around Huddinge tree pruning and trimming to give your trees and bushes a more esthetical look and feel.

Our favorite part about being an arborist

Our favorite part of our job is definitely being outside all day working closely with nature. This is something that I think most arborists can relate to. Personally, I wouldn’t change my job for anything in the world and I could never imagine myself working with something else.

It’s also very satisfying to work closely with our clients and to help them solve their problems and to bring them great results that they are happy with. If our client is happy, then we are happy as well. It’s especially satisfying when we complete a very difficult and challenging tree felling that other companies weren’t able to do. I think that if our job was too easy, it wouldn’t be as fun. It’s partly the challenging aspect of being an arborist that makes it such an amazing job to have.

Thanks for reading, I hope you now have a much better understanding of how it actually is to be an arborist here in Huddinge, Sweden and what makes our job the best in the world.
